Nathan Walter

Born and raised in Long Beach, Coach Nate has always participated in the aquatic traditions of Southern California. As an avid swimmer, ocean lifeguard, surfer, boater, and now swim coach, Nate loves being close to the water.

He started his swim career at the Long Beach JCC, and quickly graduated to Beach Swim Club, before swimming for Wilson High School, and then a short time for Trojan Club.

After just a few seasons with Beach, Nate moved into the senior program. Under the direction of Teresa he excelled in Butterfly, Backstroke, and IM. Reaching the national level, Nate swam for a local Allstar team:  West Coast Swim Club.

While swimming for Wilson High School, Nate swam varsity all four years, and won league events every year. This included the 100 Back, 100 Fly, and many different relays.

After a brief hiatus from swimming in college, Coach Nate is elated to be back with Beach. He hopes to give back as much as he can, to a program that gave so much to him.
