Josh Dannhauser
Coach
I was born and raised in South Africa, where I started swimming from a the age of 6, my dad who was my coach pushed me to be the very best in the sport and everything I know about swimming came through him. I was never the biggest or strongest athlete in the water but through technique and hard work I was able to make many junior national teams and eventually moving on to senior national teams, such as World Championships, African Games Champions and World Cups. After my high-school years I chose to go to Auburn University to continue my career and learn from the very best in the sport, I later transferred to the University of Wisconsin- Madison where I finished my college career and transitioned into coaching swimming. My love for the sport did not stop at just swimming, through coaching I am able to give back to a sport that has giving me so much, and being able to see the joy and excitement in swimmers when they improve on a race or get the technique down makes it all worth it
